Mens Sana Therapy
My name is Jon Stenner. I am a qualified and experienced hypnotherapist. As you read this you are probably wondering if I can help you. If you work with me and fully enter into the therapy I provide you will start to see real changes in your life – positive changes .
During my experience as a hypnotherapist I have found many clients are frustrated by parts of themselves that are ‘acting up’ – causing them to excessively worry, feel depressed, fear, or engage in self defeating behaviours like nail biting, smoking or over eating. Clients often come seeking help to overcome a feeling of being powerless. I use parts therapy, or internal family systems (IFS), to explore the unconscious parts and try to integrate them into the whole – very often these parts are carrying out tasks that they are just not suited for, in the mistaken belief that are keeping you safe. The courage to explore these parts, and a preparedness to retrain them to stand aside and allow the whole person to come through, is a key part of my therapeutic approach. These competing parts have complex relationships with each other and your real self – your delicate inner ecology. It is more than possible to find inner balance and harmony. I have seen remarkable transformations through hypnosis, which allows the unconscious mind to be directly addressed. The power of the unconscious mind is almost limitless. Once you discover this power you will see that you do have choices and this realisation brings agency – the power to take control back. Some clients have very simple requirements that can be addressed in two or three sessions, whilst others require more extensive therapy to retrain the parts that are causing blockages and instability in every day life.
After carefully listening to you, my aim is a simple one; to give you the power to take control over your life.
If you are feeling powerless and controlled I am here to help. My special focus is helping clients battling with addictions, depression, anxiety, and partners of people on the autistic spectrum. If I feel you need other help, I can refer you to someone who is more suited to your needs – my one aim is to see you well, balanced and feeling good!
In case you’re wondering, mens sana is Latin for a healthy mind…
